Summer
If you fancy dancing with us on the land, in community, and in creative self expression, I am bringing Movement Medicine dance workshops to these two summer camps this August:
* Monthly Sunday classes in Bristol coming soon *
Thanks to your very kind donations, in 2024 we raised £585.00 for Herona Hospital!
This year I am again attending the Movement Medicine Summer Long Dance. This is a 72 hour dance ceremony where we pray for landing our dreams, our communities, the protection of nature and for peace. What I love about this ceremony, is that it is grounded in the fundraising commitment from all of us that attend. Over the years the Summer Long Dance has altogether raised over £952,000.00 for different charities.
** Important ** When you donate, please leave a message in the personalised message box stating: Cataract Surgery Herona Hospital Uganda to make sure your donation goes directly to the hospital.

Class guidelines
Thank you for being part of this dancing space. So that people can feel safe enough to explore, move and be themselves, it is kindly asked that you agree to the following guidelines.
Self-care
Listen to your body and be mindful of your physical and mental health. There is no need to push through pain or beyond physical limits.
Sometimes it can be useful to get extra support outside the class with a good qualified councillor or somatic therapist.
If you feel unsure, or uncomfortable for any reason, or if you have hurt yourself, please speak to a member of our team.
Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and wear comfortable clothing - please keep tops on so that we share the love and not the sweat!
We dance either barefooted, or with non slip indoor shoes. Please, no dancing in socks, its simply too slippery.
This is an alcohol and drug free space.
Respecting others
Be mindful of other people’s personal space and boundaries, as well as your own.
Please be considerate of people’s preferences regarding physical contact, not everyone enjoys touch all of the time.
Ask before hugging!
Purple ribbons are provided in the space, these are optional to put on for those times that you wish to be in your own dance without dancing with others. If you see someone wearing a purple ribbon, please respect this.
We request there is no chatting on the dance floor so that everyone can stay connected to their own experience and maintain a collective focus.
If you need to communicate, please whisper.
It is important that any personal sharing within the space remains confidential.
Please do not wear perfume or aftershave, even though it may have the nicest smell, there are those in the space who are sensitive to scent.
Phones & Recording
To protect the atmosphere and privacy of the group, we ask that participants do not take photos or videos during a session.
Occasionally, the team may capture a few discreet images of the wider group for community sharing. If you would prefer not to be included, simply let us know.
Arriving & Staying
Please give yourself enough time to arrive without rushing, the doors open 10 minutes before the class. We also encourage everyone to stay until the end of the session where possible, as this helps support both your own process and the group journey.
